Buying a home or a commercial building is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make, and you deserve a property inspection that goes beyond a basic checklist. At Summit To Shore Property Inspections, we bring hands-on construction experience and exposure to every trade involved in building into each inspection we perform. That means when we look at framing, rooflines, or foundation work, we’re not just checking boxes. We’re drawing on years of construction background to spot the details that matter.
Whether you’re purchasing your first home, selling a property in greater Bangor area, or managing a commercial building anywhere in Maine, our goal is the same: give you a clear, honest picture of what you’re getting into. We serve homeowners, buyers, sellers, and real estate agents across the entire state, and we treat every home inspection and commercial inspection with the same level of care we’d want for our own family.
Summit To Shore Property Inspections offers a wide range of inspection services designed to cover every corner of a property, inside and out. Our inspectors are equipped to handle everything from a routine home inspection to specialized testing that many companies don’t offer in-house.
Summit to Shore Property Inspections is all about education. We are here for you to help you understand your new home and be a smarter homeowner. With inspection experience since 2019 and a strong background in construction—along with exposure to all the trades associated with building a home—we would be honored to be your home consultant.
Our background gives us key insight into areas like electrical, plumbing, and roofing. You benefit from that knowledge through an inspection that educates you without alarming you, ensuring you know exactly what you’re getting into.
Summit to Shore was founded by Erik, who began performing home inspections in 2019 after spending over a decade working hands-on in the carpentry field. His extensive trade experience gives him a practical, deep-seated understanding of how homes are built from the ground up and how their components work together over time.
When he isn’t helping clients navigate their home purchases, Erik embraces everything the region has to offer outdoors, whether he’s fishing, hiking, camping, or hitting the slopes for a day of skiing.
A Report That Makes Sense the First Time You Read It
We know that not everyone can walk a property with us in person, and that’s okay. Whether you join us for the inspection or not, you’ll receive a full Spectora report that lays out exactly what we found, room by room and system by system.
Every report includes clear photos and plain-language notes, so you’re not left guessing what a finding actually means. You’ll have your report in hand within 48 hours of the inspection, giving you time to review it and talk through anything important with us or your real estate agent before decisions need to be made.
